After the bus tour, there was time to explore Reykjavik on foot, shopping, sightseeing and trying to get a better understanding on the street names and addresses. The days are long here this time of year, so there's plenty of time for sightseeing (you'll run out of energy before you run out of daylight). Addresses here are the street name, followed by a number -- so if someone says there's a fun store at "KIRSUBERJATRÉÐ 4", you can try to find it on the map.

I can't imagine how annoying it must be for the locals to hear us tourists trying to pronounce their street names or ask for driving directions (sometimes all I could do was pronounce the first few letters and mumble the rest -- try pronouncing a few yourself). Here's a collection of some of the street signs I passed walking around town. There were also streets and places with names like Thor, Odin, Midgard and Bifrost (for you mythology fans).
